Neuropsychological evaluations aren’t about labeling you—but about understanding the whole of you.

You may be worried about memory or concentration. Struggling to come up with words. Overwhelmed by daily tasks, or noticing changes in behavior you can’t quite explain. Maybe you’ve lived with lifelong challenges, or you’re navigating a recent diagnosis. Or maybe you’re just getting older. Whatever brings you here, a neuropsychological evaluation offers a space for insight—not judgment.

Together, we’ll explore how your brain works—your strengths, your vulnerabilities, your patterns. This isn’t just about identifying what’s hard for you; it’s about getting to know all parts of you, and discovering how to work with your brain, not against it.

Let’s uncover clarity, confidence, and a path forward—together.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION

Neuropsychological evaluations can provide clarity and direction for a wide range of individuals across the lifespan.

They may be especially helpful for those with known neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, or a brain injury, offering insight into how these conditions may be affecting cognition, mood, or daily functioning.

Individuals with neurodevelopmental diagnoses, including ADHD or autism, often seek evaluations to better understand learning styles, attention patterns, and areas of strength or difficulty.

People living with psychiatric conditions like depression, bipolar disorder, or OCD may pursue assessment when mood symptoms overlap with changes in memory, focus, or organization.

Later in life, individuals may begin to notice changes in memory or behavior, or loved ones may express concern. In these cases, a neuropsychological evaluation can help determine whether these changes reflect normal aging, an emerging pattern of mild cognitive impairment, or the early stages of a neurodegenerative condition such as dementia. Our process is collaborative and compassionate. You’ll share your experiences and questions, and I’ll bring a comprehensive lens to cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning—always grounded in your unique story.

From there, we can find strategies that help make life feel more manageable, less stressful, and more aligned with who you are. That might mean learning how to lean into what you do well, finding ways to support what doesn’t come as easily, or simply giving yourself permission to understand and accept your mind more fully.

For individuals 65 and older, a neuropsychological evaluation is a powerful tool for understanding changes in thinking that may arise with aging.

While the structure of the evaluation is similar to that used for younger adults, it is often shorter and more targeted—focused on the specific concerns and challenges that may emerge later in life. This includes evaluating concerns related to memory, attention, or other cognitive abilities.

The results can assist in diagnosing neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, differentiating between dementia subtypes, or distinguishing cognitive decline from depression or other psychiatric conditions. This type of evaluation is also useful for individuals experiencing cognitive changes associated with medical conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, or traumatic brain injury.

Supporting older adults through these assessments is an area of special focus in my practice. My goal is to help individuals, families, and healthcare providers gain clarity and direction, and to provide thoughtful, personalized recommendations that support well-being, independence, and quality of life.
